Three Forks Treasure
This piece is the first piece carved from the stone of the Yellow Stone mine near Three Forks. The trout represents the fish in the three rivers that create the Missouri River at Three Forks, Montana. But the stone also part of Three Forks treasure. size H 11" x L 13" x w 5"
Trying to put some tension in the pieces. Will the bass or the frog win? This is a larger piece L 16" x W 12" x H 13" Carved fins are delicate. A couple of the fins on this piece broke and repaired by the artist. 1989
I am fascinated with the Raptors moving into the cities and nesting on ledges. Have we driven them to move or did they just want to become urbainites?
Master of his Domain
The stone tends to let it's desire to be one thing or another. This piece started out as a grouse. Well that's not what the stone had in mind. It was the first piece that I used something other than carving to do the eyes. So it has citrine eyes, It is all carved Including the pile of rocks. Size H 8" x W 8" x D 7"
The Sioux name for the bison. This is one where the stone said it was a bison from the start. Elk bone was used for the horns. This stone is actually a very dark green.
One of a set or two it looks like the younger of the two. The other being called "The Old One. Carved from rare Montana dendritic Talc.

Big Sky Alter. Sold
This little piece has some translucent stone for the sky. It will fit on a window ledge and the light will shine though changing its character. It is also two sided with a mountain scene on both sides.
Eastern Portal alter
Many of the people that have seen this piece think it has an Asian influence. So it is a small portal to let ones mind escape even if it is just for a moment. I call them alters hoping that they will take the viewer to take a short mental break, to "Alter" their thoughts even if just for a moment.
